Lab Created Emerald Earrings
The author of the following article has worked in a laboratory, but she has never made lab created emerald earrings. The author realizes that not every part of such earrings was made in the lab. Only the green emeralds were created in a laboratory setting. The author would like to know more about the growing of gemstones for lab created emerald earrings.

Do the growing emeralds need to be kept at a special temperature? Do they need to be fed any sort of “food?” Is there any chance that some other mineral could get into the growing media and develop there, along with the emeralds? Those questions pass through the mind of the author of the following article.
A picture of lab created emerald earrings that’s been posted on the Internet might make any young girl envious of those females born in the month of May. What event in history sparked that envy? Was it a government decision to allow the manufacture of lab created emerald earrings? No, it was an event that took place in 1912.
During the year of 1912, the jewelers of America gathered for a meeting. During that meeting they put together a list. They designed that list with an eye to increasing the sales figures for all sorts of jewelry. Their list named a birthstone for each month of the year.

Those jewelers decided that the emerald would be the birthstone for the month of May. They anticipated an effort by friends and family members to purchase jewelry with emeralds for females who they loved and cherished, when those same females had been born in May. In the year 1912, no American jeweler had a pair of lab created emerald earrings such as one can find today, just by conducting an online search.
The earrings now pictured on one website have strands of gold wrapped around lab created emeralds. The information on that website specifies the quality of the gold: 10 k. The description on that website refers to the gold as a “cushion of precious metal.” The description itself could engender envy of women born in May.

A woman born at the close of April might try to convince her spouse or lover that she too deserves those lab created emerald earrings. In addition to emeralds, those earrings have tiny diamonds. The diamond has been declared the birthstone for April.
Other women who were not born in May, or at the close of April, might want to investigate their family tree. They might want to search for evidence that some family member came from Ireland. They might initiate their search after reading more of the online description of the emerald earrings that contain lab created gemstones.
That description has likened the lab created emeralds to “verdant grassy hills.” Someone who has been to Ireland has no doubt seen verdant grassy hills. The green in such hills pops up every where on Saint Patrick’s Day. That is a day when a man might well give a pair of emerald earrings to a female friend, should he know that her relatives came from Ireland.
There are thus, at this point, two sets of women who have every reason to push a man to buy them a certain pair of emerald earrings. Other creative women might dream-up a way to put themselves in either group. They might then hope that they too get a pair of earrings with lab created emeralds.
