Princess Necklace: These necklaces falls between the choker and matinee necklace designs having an 18 inch length.
Matinee Necklace: These necklaces are longer in length than the princess necklaces. Pearl necklaces that are available in this style have a neck length of 22 inches to 23 inches. They are supposed to sit at the top of the cleavage, mostly worn in fancy occasions with low neck dresses.
Opera Necklace: These necklaces start from a length of 30 inches to 36 inches, sitting at the breastbone. Mostly you can see celebrities or fashion models wearing pearl necklaces in opera design while wearing a polo neck sweater or high neck, sleeveless blouses.
Rope or Sautoir Necklace: Any pearl necklaces that are longer in length than the opera necklace falls in this category.
Dog Collar Necklace: These necklaces are made of pearls with multi strands that are closer to the neck. Length wise they fall in the category between the choker and matinee necklaces.
Graduated Necklace: In a graduated necklace, the string of the necklace starts from larger pearls in the center gradually become smaller on the way to the clutch.
Uniform Necklace: Any pearl necklaces made from the same size of pearls. Even though they are made of pearls that could vary in shapes but they look the same from a distance.
Bib Necklace: Beautiful pearl necklaces made in this design are made of multiple strands that cover the area between your neck and breastbone.
