In most societies it is a known fact that while dining people shouldn’t discuss three topics. The three topics that people should avoid when eating are sports, politics, and religion.

However, it is perfectly fine to discuss the topics of fashion, jewelry, and religion at the dinner table; in fact, sometimes a person’s religion and their taste in jewelry in hand. Some people wear Jewish stars and some people wear antique crucifixes.
In a society there is much culture for people to experience and to share with each other. A society’s culture can and usually does consist of its music, its, movies, its food, its fashion, its politics, its sports, and its religion. Jewelry is considered a part of the fashion industry; therefore, when talking about a society’s fashion it would be perfectly acceptable to discuss a society’s jewelry too. This is because jewelry accessorizes all kinds of fashion from blue jeans and sweaters to evening gowns and high heels. In addition to discussing jewelry and fashion together it is also perfectly fine to discuss jewelry and religion together. This is because many people in different societies often wear pieces of jewelry that symbolize their religious faith. Some people wear antique crucifixes and sand dollars to express their religious faith and some people wear Jewish Stars also called Stars of David to express their religious faith. Let’s look a bit closer at the cross and antique crucifixes.
Did you know that the Christian cross is the best known religious symbol of Christianity? The sand dollar might be the second best known religious symbol of Christianity. Anyhow, it is usually viewed as a representation of the crucifixion of Jesus and a cross is related to a crucifix. An antique crucifix is a cross that included a representation of Jesus’ body. Did you also know that the Christian cross is also related to the more general family of cross symbols? The cross shaped symbol is represented in its simplest form by crossing two lines at their right angles. Both Christian crosses and antique crucifixes go back to a very remote time in human history and human civilization. In addition, both Christian crosses and antique crucifixes are supposed to have been used for both ornamental value and decoration and to illustrate religious significance and religious faith.
Did you know that Christian crosses and antique crucifixes are often shown in different shapes and sizes? They are also often shown in many different styles. They can be and often are used in the creation of personal jewelry and located on the top of church buildings. The Christian cross can be illustrated empty or with the body of Jesus Christ nailed to it. A cross that has Jesus Christ’s body nailed to it is called an antique crucifix. There are many types of crosses and antique crucifixes. A Saltire cross is a cross shaped like an X that is associated with Saint Andrew, patron saint of Scotland and so a national symbol of Scotland. This cross is also known as the Saint Andrew’s cross or Andrew’s Cross. There is also a Greek cross, a Canterbury cross, and a Celtic cross associated with Ireland and Saint Patrick’s Day. These crosses could also be antique crucifixes if the body of Jesus were on them.
