There are a lot of different styles of fashion that seem to just come and go. However, once in a while you will see something that has come and left before, then come back again. You see this a lot in clothing, hair styles, movies, music, and now even jewelry.

Huge hoop earrings are a fashion statement that went down with the 70’s and early 80’s. Although some people kept wearing them, for the most part they were dead. Now we are starting to see the huge hoop earrings come back. Why is that? What caused this shift back in fashion, and how long will it be here?

Huge hoop earrings were a fashion statement a lot of people were making a long time ago. However, as things started to change, people started to leave the huge hoop earrings behind, and eventually they were forgotten about all together. Now we are starting to see them around again. What could have caused this? Well I think the same reason that killed them off is the same reason why they are back now. First of all, people stopped wearing them after the 80’s, because people stopped trying to make a big statement. The huge hair styles were dying out, and people were going for a different look altogether. Now (thanks to a lot of rap music) people, once again, want to be noticed. They want people to see them, and they want to stand out. The huge hoop earrings helped them do that, and helped make them know. If you watch a lot of rap videos (mostly the female rappers), you will see that a lot of them are starting to wear this kind of jewelry.

Huge hoop earrings come in a lot of different shapes but mostly different colors. You will see earrings that range from being large to ridiculous, and back again. They also come in just about any color you can think of. Of course, right now the main color you are going to see them in is gold; you can get them in any color. The sliver ones are pretty popular as well (the second most popular after gold), then comes white. So why are they wearing these big earrings? Well this goes back to wanting to be noticed. If you look at the rappers, they have been wearing big chains around their necks for many years now.

The girls needed a way to make it their own, and this is where the big earrings come it. Although the black rappers do it the most, you can see any one of any race wearing these types of earrings. They are the in thing right now, and it looks like it’s going to stay that way for a while. However, at some point it will kill itself off again. That leaves the question, “will they ever come back after that?”

Because the gold hoop earrings are so popular, they tend to be costly. If you get these types of earrings in real gold, you are going to notice that the price goes up through the roof. Most people that you see on the street are not wearing real gold huge hoop earrings, because it costs to much to make them completely out of gold. However, that does not mean that pure gold hoops are not out there. You just have to go looking for them. If you are on a fixed income and you what to get some, I would try searching the internet. You are bound to find a good deal out there somewhere.
